SLK have recently completed the installation of the MR Swisslab System to four 14-storey tower blocks in Wakefield. The MR Swisslab System comprised of a 50mm Phenolic Insulation that was adhesively and mechanically fixed. The use of a colour through and waterproof Silicone render to the main elevations and Brick effect render was applied to feature areas. This resulted in an attractive, colour-fast finish and a weatherproof exterior, which is fire-safe, highly resistant to impact damage and has minimal maintenance demands. Target thermal performance was easily met, ensuring tenants will benefit from more engery efficient homes.
This was a 2year contract and was completed in March 2005 for Bramall Construction,
SLK have recently been awarded the INCA award for this project from the Insulated Render & Cladding Association for 2005.
